Tear away backing is ideally suited for canvas, coated fabric, linen, corduroy, satin, cotton sheeting etc.It is easily removed once the item has been embroidered.
Tear-away backing is similar to paper as it gently tears away from the stitches; so there is no need for scissors.
For extra stability criss-cross two layers of backing pulling away one layer at a time to reduce puckering.
